About Us

Founded in 2001, Headingley AFC is an amateur football club based in the North Leeds suburb of Headingley. In our short history we have progressed from the Red Triangle League through to the West Yorkshire League climbing five levels of the FA pyramid to step 7.

The First Team currently play in the West Yorkshire Association League Premier Division, a direct feeder league into the Northern Counties. The Second team play in the West Yorkshire Association League Division Two, following promotion in 2023/24.

In 2023, we launched our Development Programme which has given young players the opportunity to transition into open age football by providing regular competitive fixtures and a clear pathway for progression. In the same year, we also introduced our Vets team which has proven to be a huge success in reconnecting players from the past.

Headingley AFC always strives to be the best both on and off the pitch and along with a great social scene we are committed to supporting our player’s personal and professional development.

With a dedicated Committee who continues to ensure the club runs professionally, a strong community presence and an ambitious Management Team we are set for both an exciting and rewarding future.
